Eat free. Post honest.
Yes, restaurants really do comp meals in exchange for posts. Here is exactly how it works on SIGNL: the offer, the visit, the code, the 48-hour post, and the rules that keep it honest for everyone.
The take is yours.
How a comped meal works, start to finish
No press lists, no media nights, no awkward conversation at the host stand. A comped meal on SIGNL runs like a normal dinner out, with one honest post at the end of it.
Join your city's roster
Sign up free in the app with your home city and follower band. Founding creators are reviewed in sign-up order, and founding status never expires.
Claim a dinner offer
Restaurants post offers with exactly what is included: dinner for two, a chef's counter seat, a brunch spread. You claim the ones you genuinely want to try.
Book and visit like a real guest
Book inside the app, show up, and redeem your comp with your single-use in-app code (QR plus a short code). The restaurant's register is never touched, and you experience the place the way a paying guest does.
Post within 48 hours
Your Standard Visit (1 post or reel plus 1 story that shares the post) goes live to a 48-hour standard, with a week at the outside, with a clear disclosure that the meal was comped. Then your reliability record grows, and the next offer gets easier to claim.
What restaurants comp
Restaurants choose what to offer, and the offer states exactly what is included before you claim it.

Free food, real rules
The meal is comped. The opinion is yours.
Post your real experience, good or mixed. No restaurant can require a positive post, ask you to soften an honest one, or retaliate for a fair post. Pressure gets a business removed.
Disclose it like you mean it
Every comped post says the visit was comped, plainly, as FTC guidelines require. #gifted is the common shorthand. Your followers trusting you is the whole asset; disclosure protects it.
48 hours, because timing is the value
A post about Friday's dinner needs to exist while the weekend is still being planned. 48 hours is the standard, and it is what earns the Momentum; a post inside a week still counts. Miss the week entirely and the restaurant gets a replacement visit, and your standing takes the hit.
Questions, answered straight
Do restaurants really give free food for posts?
Yes. That is the comp model: the business offers a free meal or service, and in exchange you post your honest experience to your own audience. Two rules keep it real: you disclose that the visit was comped, as FTC guidelines require (for example #gifted), and the post has to be your honest take. Businesses cannot buy a positive post, and SIGNL removes any that try.
What does a comped meal usually include?
Whatever the offer says, stated up front before you claim it: commonly dinner for two, a set tasting, or a brunch spread. You always see exactly what is included, so there are no surprises at the table.
How often can I get comped?
As often as you claim offers and deliver on them. Every on-time, honest post builds your reliability record and Local Impact Score, and creators with strong records get picked first and claimed fastest. There is no fixed cap on creators; the limit is your own follow-through.
What if the food is genuinely bad?
Post honestly. A fair, truthful post that is not glowing is allowed and protected: businesses cannot require positive posts or punish honest ones. If a post is factually false, a business can flag it for review, but opinions are yours.
Which cities have comped dining on SIGNL?
Founding rosters are forming in 38 markets across 8 countries, including Hampton Roads, Richmond, Washington DC, Raleigh, Charlotte, Atlanta, Nashville, Austin, Dallas, Chicago, Los Angeles, London, Dubai and more. Markets open in waves, and if your city is not listed, signing up starts its list.
Can I get paid, or is it only free meals?
SIGNL is free for creators. Always. Businesses pay the platform. You never pay to join, to list, or to get booked. Free meals are the core deal, but not the only path. Any creator can set a paid rate on their profile: when a business books you directly at your rate, you keep 97 percent of it, because SIGNL takes only 3 percent of the creator's rate. Headliners (15,000+ followers) are also first in line for paid cash campaigns on top of comps.
