Joining is free, and you need 500 total followers across your platforms to join. Every offer is your choice, and paid-only participation is fine. You set your rate and keep 97 percent of it. A paid booking includes one standard license for 90 days, and nothing is ever perpetual. A comped visit is 1 post plus 1 story, with the goal of posting within 48 hours of your visit, native share only. The 12-month term covers only relationships that start through SIGNL. Booking terms are in front of you before you accept any collaboration.
The ten answers
When does SIGNL launch, and how many businesses are coming?
SIGNL is launching market by market soon. Right now we are building the founding creator rosters, and once a roster is set we flood that market with businesses. Restaurants are the loudest early interest, but bookings span beauty, wellness, home, retail and lifestyle too.
Can I take paid bookings only?
Yes. Paid-only is fine. Every offer is your choice: a business can comp a meal, service or experience, or book you at your own listed rate. Nobody builds standing by taking comps they do not want. Paid bookings depend on businesses booking, so volume is never promised.
Can I negotiate deliverables and timelines?
On paid bookings, yes: deliverables and timing are set in the booking terms you accept, so bigger, slower work belongs in the paid lane, where the scope is agreed up front. The comped visit standard stays fixed: the goal is 1 post plus 1 story within 48 hours of your visit.
Can I negotiate my rate and the 90-day rights separately?
You set your rate and keep 97 percent of it, with a $50 floor on paid bookings. A paid booking includes one standard license: the business can repost your post and run it as an ad for 90 days. Anything beyond that is a separate licensing request at your own listed fee, approved by you per use. Nothing is perpetual, ever.
Does the 12-month term affect brands I already work with?
No. The 12-month term covers relationships that start through SIGNL. Businesses you already work with independently are yours and stay yours. It only applies to introductions SIGNL makes.
What if my audience is regional or national, not just local?
You are ranked in a market by the share of your audience that lives there. If your audience is strong in more than one city, you are listed in each of those markets and can get offers from businesses in all of them, not just your home city. It is automatic, based on where your followers actually are.
How does ranking work, exactly?
The ranking stack: local reach 35 percent, Local Impact 25 percent, Momentum points 20 percent (on-time posting and referrals), and reliability 20 percent. Engagement rate and demographics are not separate inputs.
What do founding creators get?
Founding creators see every offer first and get the early-access windows. There is no formal advisory program, but founding creators have a direct line to the founder, and founding feedback is shaping the terms right now.
Will SIGNL support partnerships beyond social posts?
Today SIGNL is social posts and stories through visits and paid bookings. Blog features, UGC packages and ambassadorships are not built yet, and a roadmap is not a feature. If that changes, founding creators hear it first.
Can I review the terms before my first collaboration?
Yes. You agree to the platform terms at signup, and the booking terms are in front of you before you accept any collaboration. Nothing binds you to work you have not accepted.

On time, late, and no-shows
The deal only works if posts land, so here is exactly where the lines are. These standards are for comped visits. Post within 48 hours of your visit and you are on time, with full Momentum. Post within 7 days and the visit still counts as delivered, but it is late: no on-time Momentum, and the late post goes on your on-time record, which is part of how you are ranked and how much businesses see you. Late posts mean you show up less.
Three late posts in a row pauses your new offers for 14 days. No post at all after 7 days is a no-show: the business gets a replacement visit that does not count against its plan, we can give the visit to another creator, and your account is paused, with no new offers, until it is resolved.
One line is absolute: if you show up, use the comp, and then never post at all, you do not stay active. One month after the visit, a creator who consumed the comp and has posted nothing comes off the active roster and is no longer eligible for further opportunities. A post that lands any time within that month still resolves the visit as delivered — extremely late, but delivered.
One thing matters most: talk to us. If something goes wrong and you told the business or SIGNL about it, a no-show is not a strike. A no-show in silence is a strike, and two strikes remove you from the platform. Paid bookings work differently: they carry the posting terms agreed for that booking — set by the business, shown to you, and accepted by you before the visit — and those agreed terms are what govern a paid visit. You are not paid until your post is live, so a paid visit with no post simply does not pay.
